Hello! I'm Jen, one half of the Social Brunettes!

We have put together a few facts on this introduction page, so that you can see we are real, relatable and fun women, the perfect duo for a chat show!

I'm married (for 10 years this year!) to a tall and lovely man, and mum to two fraternal twin girls.  They fascinate me every day and I just love seeing how different they are becoming!

We live on the Surrey/Hants/Berks borders and sold our house during the first lockdown.  We are on the hunt for our forever home!

Fun Facts - I used to be a competitive swimmer on the TV, and I can Moonwalk like a pro!

Outside of domestic duties, I am a successful and established celebrant (Knight Ceremonies), writing and conducting bespoke weddings, vow renewals and naming day ceremonies.  I have grown a small team and absolutely love making a big difference to these personal celebrations.  I also have several other projects that I am building and the skills required for these all lend themselves perfectly to our lovely chat show!

Being on air is not new to me as I have been in a quiz show with Claudia Winkleman and comedian David Mitchell, and I loved the whole experience of filming and being a part of an entertainment programme.

The idea for Social Brunettes came to me during lockdown #1 when I was pondering the options of a broadcasting project and because of all of the restrictions, really felt that lack of connection with other people.  I realised that we could create something really fun and real, that connected women wherever they are, and to encourage support, positivity and communication through our show. 

Although quite an organised person, I do also love a good craft project and am often creating all sorts of wonderful things with my girls.  We customize clothes and build and design things together too.  I am happiest when surrounded by the people I love and hearing them laugh (and laughing with them) is such a tonic.  I love to be by the sea, am partial to a BBQ, thoroughly enjoy entertaining at home and am lucky enough to have some great friends that I socialise with.

Hi I'm Tash, the other half of the Social Brunettes!

We thought it would be nice to share a little bit about ourselves so as you watch the show it's like chatting to a friend.

I'm married and a mum, I have a son and 3 step-children! We live in Hampshire and have a little Frenchie called Betsy (my token baby girl)

Fun Facts - I already have grandchildren, I have a tattoo & I once kissed Howard from Take That! 

When I'm not doing mum & wifey duties I'm a Personal Stylist & Image Coach and run my own business called Appearance & Attitude!

I retrained and started my business 5 years ago and never looked back, it's been hard work and scary but totally worth it. Did you know I trained with TV Stylist Nicky Hambleton Jones (10 years younger)?

I love everything about my job, in fact, that's how I met Jen! My clients often become friends as we really get to know each other during the styling sessions - its a bit like therapy but more fun and less expensive!

I love all things creative and arty, including interior design, craft & fashion, and of course socialising with friends & family.

I'm passionate about certain charities, supporting other women & love working with other mums in business.
